Sertoma football game set for June 16

The 25th annual Sertoma All-Star Football Classic will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 16 at Mackay Stadium.

Once again the format in which the two head coaches were able to draft schools was used. Lovelock's Dave McLean will coach the Blue while Hug's Rollins Stallworth will coach the Silver. Among Stallworth's assistants will be Carson coach Shane Quilling.

Carson and Galena will each have six players represented: For Carson, Zach Taylor, Bryan Maffai, Eric Walther, Jason Dittenber, Scott Witter and Ryan Jesse are all scheduled to play for the Silver. James Ripsom, Cole Dowty, Matt Aikin, Tony Fritsche, Casey Ernst and Ryan Krueger are all schedule to play for Galena for the Blue. Also on the Blue roster is Dayton's Jordan Stokes.

Other area players scheduled to play are Douglas High's Cory Fry, James Barnard and Ryan Guzman, Fernley's Colin Hodges, Joe Carter, Colt Ainsworth and Jori Kaiser and Yerington's Matt Richardson, Ryan Gilmore and Ricky Menesini all for the Silver. The rosters are:
