A rosary will be said for Mary M. Hickox, 59, a seven-year Carson City resident, at 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mrs. Hickox died June 22, 2006, in Carson City.

She was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Sonoma, Calif., to Ottis Dodd and Kathleen Barry.

She married Robert Hickox on Feb. 21, 1966, in Carson City.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Hickox lived in Petaluma, Calif., for 30 years.

She was a graduate of Sonoma High School and Santa Rosa Community College.

She was a psychiatric technician at Sonoma State Hospital for 27 years.

She belonged to the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, and the St. Teresa Guild. She enjoyed her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Melvin Dodd.

Among her survivors are her husband; son Dennis Hickox of Santa Rosa, Calif.; daughter Kristina Hickox of Sebastopol, Calif.; sisters Juanita Berch of Sonoma and Sherrie Bolander of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren and several extended family members.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.

Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity or the Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma, Calif.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
