What's open, closed for the holiday

• All Western Nevada Community College campuses and learning centers will be closed today

• U.S. Postal Service offices will be closed nationwide.

• All area senior citizens centers will be closed.

• The Carson City Sheriff's Department's front desk and fingerprinting will be closed. There will be no prisoner visitation. Officers will patrol as usual.

• The Carson City Marriage Bureau will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but there will be no judge. Marriage licenses can be obtained but no marriages will be performed.

• The Carson City Public Library will be closed.

• Jump Around Carson will not be running today.

• The Nevada State Museum will be open regular hours today with regular rates.

• The Nevada State Railroad Museum will be open regular hours today with regular rates and special activities, including a free train parade at 10 a.m.

• The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada will be closed.

• All Lyon County public offices will be closed.

• The Douglas County Public Library will be closed.

• All Douglas County public offices will be closed today, with the exception of the Marriage License Bureaus. The Minden/Gardnerville area Marriage License Bureau will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the Tahoe area Marriage License Bureau will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• The Douglas County Sheriff's Department front desk will be closed. Prisoner visitation will take place as usual. Officers will patrol as usual.

• The Douglas Area Rural Transit (DART) bus system will not be running.

• The Federal Reserve is closed today. Because of this, most banks will be closed as well; check your local branch to find out if your bank is closed.

• Citifare in Reno will run on a Sunday schedule, and RTC INTERCITY between Reno and Carson City will not be running. Sierra Spirit in downtown Reno will run on a normal Tuesday schedule. Call 348-RIDE for information.
