Janice Large, 63, a six-year Carson City resident, died March 10, 2006, in Carson City.

Ms. Large was born May 4, 1942, in California, to Chester and Mildred McFarland.

Before moving to Carson City she lived in Reno.

She was a volunteer at ComputerCorps, and was a crossing guard at Empire Elementary School where she also volunteered at several school events.

She was a Southern Baptist.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Ron and Nancy Large, of Carson City, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
