Clemmie Lee Turner, 88, a resident of Lake Coleman, Texas, died March 9, 2006, at Holiday Hill Nursing Home in Coleman.

Mrs. Turner was born Sept. 9, 1917, in Talpa, Texas, to Allen Mack Norris and Minnie Eathel Guy Norris.

She graduated from Valera (Texas) High School.

She married Clifford Ellison Turner in Coleman on Nov. 3, 1935.

She worked for Jinright Manufacturing. She also worked for Mercury Cleaners in Carson City.

Before returning to Lake Coleman in 1999, she lived in Carson City, Silver Springs and Lake Lahontan.

She enjoyed sewing, oil painting, fishing and hunting.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; son Ronnie D., in 1980; sister and brother-in-law Bernice and J.T. Galloway; brother and sister-in-law Coy and Sis Norris; brother-in-law Ray Turner; brother-in-law Grady Turner and his wife, Sybil; Clyde Crenshaw; sisters-in-law Una Fay and husband, H.J. Huffman; and Edna Ruth Turner.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Kay and Wm. Boyd Mitchell of Lake Coleman, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Billy Joe and Paul Puckett of Coleman; sister Bertha Crenshaw Johnson of Las Vegas; brother-in-law Glenn Turner of Elgin, Texas; sister-in-law Ethel Turner of Buda, Texas; one granddaughter in Utah; one grandson in Carson City; four great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation took place at Stevens Funeral Home. No memorial services are planned.

Stevens Funeral Home in Lake Coleman is in charge of arrangements.
