Carson High graduate Kate Hardt settled for a ninth place finish for the University of Minnesota women's swim team in the 800-yard freestyle relay as the NCAA Championships came to a close this weekend.
Hardt, swimming the third leg, swam an excellent time of one minute, 47.91 seconds to help Minnesota finish in 7:13.64.
Another CHS graduate, Lauren Costella, struggled in the 1,650 free, finishing 30th in 16:40.43.
