Leonard E. Payne, 74, a Carson City resident since 1999, died March 28, 2006, in Carson City.
Mr. Payne was born Jan. 16, 1932, in Gilroy, Calif., to Edward and Mary Payne.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Gilroy. He was a Catholic.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.
He enjoyed playing baseball, which he played for the Army and for the Brooklyn Dodgers farm team.
He is survived by his brother, Dan Payne of Gilroy; and nieces Danielle and Ariel Payne.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
