Five western Nevada contractors including a Douglas County firm have been cited by the state contractor's board.
Wyman Development, of Minden, was found in violation of statutes for substandard workmanship and failure to comply with a board notice to correct. The citation also charges Wyman Development permitted the business to be operated by an unlicensed individual and failed to establish financial responsibility.
The company was fined $2,500 and ordered to pay investigative costs within 60 days or have its license suspended. Wyman was also ordered to make repairs on the house involved in the complaint.
In addition, four Reno firms were cited by the board for various violations. They are John Horn Construction, Steve Farley Construction, Northridge Construction and Grow Masters Landscaping.
