Danette Louise Sheldon

A Rosary will be said for Danette Louise Sheldon, 47, a 28-year Carson City resident, at 6 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. A Memorial Mass will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mrs. Sheldon died Sept. 11, 2006, in Carson City. She was born July 24, 1959, in Kenmare, N.D., to David Dodge and Carol Youngblood.

She married Bart Sheldon on June 4, 1982, in Las Vegas.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Sheldon lived in Elko and Yerington.

She graduated from Elko High School in 1977 and was a homemaker.

She was a Boy Scout leader and den mother for the Boy and Cub Scouts of America. She belonged to the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and was active in church school.

She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family.

Among her survivors are her parents; husband; sons Derek, John, Jay and Jacob Sheldon, all of Carson City; sister Diana James of Brush Prarie, Wash.; brother Daniel Dodge of Sparks and numerous nieces and nephews.

Burial will take place following the memorial Mass at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
