Thomas B. Gray, 87, an eight-year Carson City resident, died Sept. 25, 2006, in Carson City.

Mr. Gray was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Jerome, Ariz., to William J. Gray Sr. and Pearl O'Bryan Gray.

He married Adna Burdeen on Nov. 15, 1942, in Fresno, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Gray lived in Reno for 10 years and in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., for 26 years.

He graduated from Jerome High School in 1935.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a sergeant major from 1940-45 during World War II.

He was a 32nd-degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Powell and brother, William J. Gray Jr.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; son Thomas B. Gray Jr. of Windsor, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Sandra Gray of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Cliff Yamaoka of Santa Clara, Calif.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
