Ricardo 'Rico' Aguilera

Ricardo "Rico" Aguilera, 63, a Carson City resident since 1995, died April 8, 2007, at his home.

Mr. Aguilera was born June 2, 1943, in Boston, to Rosilea Aguilera and Doris Starderd.

He married Wanda Wahl on Nov. 13, 1987, in Reno.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Aguilera lived in the San Francisco Bay area.

He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines for more than 30 years.

He belonged to the Seafarers Union and the Marine Firemen's Union, both in San Francisco. He was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a son.

Among his survivors are his wife, of Carson City; sons and daughters-in-law John and Amanda Aguilera of Oakland, Calif., and Mario and Valarie Aguilera of Victorville, Calif.; daughter Rebecca Vega of the Bay area; stepsons and daughters-in-law Ron and Coni Felicich of Carson City, and John and Nicki Felicich of Richmond, Calif.; stepdaughter Jade Strater of Joshua Tree, Calif.; sister Rosie Hearrea of Tracy, Calif.; brothers Ralph Aguilera of the Bay area, Roberto Aguilera of Bronx, N.Y., Renaldo Aguilera of Kansas City, Mo., and Raul Aguilera of Patterson, Calif.; and several extended-family members.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
