A Carson City mother was arrested Wednesday after she entered a middle school and allegedly shoved two 12-year-old girls she believed had bullied her daughter.
Helen Francis, 32, was booked into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor disturbance of school.
According to the arrest report, Francis, accompanied by her boyfriend, entered the cafeteria at Eagle Valley Middle School about 12:14 p.m. and allegedly shoved one girl who was seated at a table.
The mother then approached another girl as she stood outside the cafeteria doors and shoved her, allegedly asking, "How does it feel to be pushed?"
The report states an adult in the cafeteria witnessed the incident outside.
In talking with officers, Francis allegedly said she intended to talk to the students, "for picking on her daughter." She said she touched the girl to show her how it feels, according to the report.
"Based on the totality of the circumstance, I arrested Helen for disturbance of school on behalf of (the principal) since it was found that Helen entered the school grounds without clearance, confronted at least two children and is confirmed to have pushed at least one of them," wrote Deputy Jason Wildblood in the report.
Charges of battery could be pending.
Francis posted a $237 bail and was released from jail .
