Ervin F. Rost

Ervin F. Rost, 78, a 10-year Minden resident, died April 20, 2007, in Minden.

Mr. Rost was born Nov. 25, 1928, in Lehr, N.D., to John G. Rost and Christina Bollinger.

Before moving to Minden, Mr. Rost lived in Los Angeles.

He worked at General Motors for 33 years and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He belonged to the Carson Valley United Methodist Church and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Among his survivors are sisters Alice Rost and Annetta Fredrick and numerous extended relatives.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City.

Memorial donations may be made to the Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville.

Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
