A memorial service for Samantha Lynn Brown, 16, will be 2 p.m. today at the Day Use area of Lahontan Lake in Silver Springs. An attendant at the main gate will direct attendees to the service location, and the day use fee has been waived for entry to the memorial service. Friends attending should bring lawn chairs.
Ms. Brown died April 22, 2007, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born July 19, 1990, in Reno, to Kevin and Debra Brown.
She was a sophomore at Silver Stage High School and was in the process of applying for a summer position at the San Diego Zoo. She enjoyed animals and the outdoors.
Among her survivors are her parents of Silver Springs; sisters Tammy Centers and Nicole Centers; brothers Chevy Brown and James Brown; grandmother Phyllis Porter of Delaware and numerous aunts and uncles.
