A graveside service for Donald Richard Wallace, 63, a four-year Minden resident, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop St. in Carson City.

Mr. Wallace died April 25, 2007, in Minden. He was born Aug. 27, 1943, in San Rafael, Calif., to Homer and Juanita Wallace.

Before moving to Minden, Mr. Wallace lived in San Jose, Calif.

He graduated from Campbell High School in Campbell, Calif.

He was a machinist and supervisor in the technology industry in California.

He served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant in Vietnam. He received two Silver Stars, a Bronze Star and six Purple Hearts.

He was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Stuckey of Sacramento.

Among his survivors are son and daughter-in-law Justin Lee Roberts and Courtney Pace of Minden; sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Emery Neves of Pollock Pines, Calif.; sister Carol Clark of Cobb Mountain, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law Norman and Joan Wallace of Fairfield, Calif.; one grandchild and numerous extended family members.

Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
