John Richard Wisman

John Richard Wisman, 53, a seven-month Carson City resident, died April 26, 2007, in Carson City.

Mr. Wisman was born March 6, 1954, in Milwaukee.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Wisman lived in Milwaukee.

He had served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of the Polar Bear Club and helped raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, James R. Wisman, in 2003.

Among his survivors are his mother and stepfather, Dottie and Mel Schreckengost of Carson City; son, John "Bud" Wisman III of Decatur, Ill.; daughter, Regina Stiffler of North Little Rock, Ark.; sister, Patricia Wisman of El Cajon, Calif., and three grandchildren.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
