Patrick Oliver Wilson, 74, a 25-year resident of Genoa, died Aug. 6, 2007.

He was born Dec. 29, 1932, to Guilford John Wilson and Ruth Christina Wilson in Minneapolis, Minn. He earned a bachelor's degree in Engineering from San Jose State University. He was a manufacturing engineer for Bently in Gardnerville. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1951Ð55. He was a volunteer fireman for Genoa, a member of E. Clampus Vitus, and the International Chili Society.

Among his survivors are his wife, Elizabeth; son Steve Wilson of Magalia, Calif.; daughters Teresa Rothney of Fairfield, Calif., Lisa and Debra Wilson of San Jose; sisters, Ruthy, Peggy, Patty, Michelle and Jodie; brothers, Dennis, Greg and Michael.

A private family funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Douglas County Mortuary. Friends are invited to attend an open reception at the family home, 170 Nixon St., Genoa, at 2 p.m. Saturday. A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 17 at the Wild Rose Inn, 2332 Main Street, Genoa.

Cremation will take place at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
