Leslie L. Hardy, 86, a 35-year resident of Silver Springs, died August 17, 2007, in Carson City.

Mr. Hardy was born July 2, 1921, to Leslie E. and Erma Hardy in Stillwater, Okla.

He had been a Nevada resident since 1952.

He worked as a superintendent overseeing cement work for numerous construction projects in the Reno area for 35 years.

Mr. Hardy was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, 135th Combat Engineers, during World War II, earning two bronze stars. He was a member of the union for cement finishers, Local 241. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing horseshoes with his friends and family.

He is survived by his sons Leslie E. Hardy, of Silver Springs, and David Hardy, of Reno; and granddaughter Stephanie Hardy, of Sparks.

A private graveside service will be held. Inurnment will be at Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
