The Lyon County Commission will select one of two possible grant applications to be submitted to the state.
Silver Springs Entertainment and Arts has requested $50,000 to begin work on a community center, and Continuum of Care, which aids homeless people in Lyon and Churchill counties has asked for $44,000 for a count of homeless people.
The commission will decide which application to send to the state at its meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday, 27 South Main St., Yerington.
