A memorial Mass for Dorothy Marie Viano, 90, a 34-year Carson City resident, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Mrs. Viano died Feb. 3, 2007, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 7, 1916, in San Rafael, Calif., to Robert Clarence Clark and Anna Katherine Clark.
She married James L. Viano on March 29, 1939, in Reno.
Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Viano lived in San Mateo.
She graduated from Oakland Technical High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church and the Carson Tahoe Hospital Auxiliary.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, reading and golf.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Frances Clark, Ruth Miller and Gloria Pennington; and by brothers Donald and Fred Clark.
Among her survivors are her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Alan Rutledge of Carson City; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David and Sharon Viano of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; seven nieces; and five nephews.
Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory. Burial will be in Genoa.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
