Probation revoked for two in court

The following people appeared before Judge Bill Maddox in Carson City District Court on Tuesday:

• Walfredo Agudo, 49, was sentenced 12 to 30 months in prison for third-offense drunken driving. He must also pay a $2,000 fine.

• Justin Box, 35, was sentenced to 12 to 36 months in prison with credit for serving 54 days in jail on a charge of possessing and receiving forged instruments.

• Donald Davis, 21, was sentenced to 12 to 72 months in prison on a charge of battery by a prisoner to run concurrent with a prison sentence of 24 to 60 months on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

• Hugo Diaz-Ramirez, 24, pleaded guilty to trafficking and will be sentenced Feb. 20.

• Louis Grey, 50, will face a jury in a trial set for May 21 on a charge of third-offense drunken driving.

• Ivan Lopez-Vargas, 19, will face a jury on Feb. 12, on a trafficking charge.

• Mario Perez-Ramirez, 34, pleaded guilty to possession of false identification and will be sentenced Feb. 20.

• Sabino Rangel-Vargas, 25, pleaded guilty to third-offense drunken driving and will be sentenced Feb. 6.

• Kurt Steele, 39, had his probation revoked and must serve 12 to 30 months in prison on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

• Paul Tressler, 36, pleaded guilty to attempted theft and will be sentenced Feb. 20.

The following people appeared before Judge Todd Russell in Carson City District Court on Tuesday:

• Jayne Hopballe, 50, was sentenced to 12 months in jail and was given credit for nine days served on a charge of gross misdemeanor attempted theft.

• James Howlett, 32, had his probation revoked and must serve 12 to 36 months in prison on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

• Jessica Soto, 29, was given nine months in the Carson City jail, with credit for 98 days served on a charge of gross misdemeanor battery on an officer.

• Roger Steele, 54, will face a jury on May 8 on a charge of third-offense drunken driving.
