Jill L. Lincoln, 67, a 23-year resident of Gardnerville, died at her home Jan. 2, 2007. She was born Feb. 10, 1939, in Martinez, Calif., to Charles Louis "Lou" and Sara Ellen Peabody.

She attended El Dorado High School in Placerville, Calif., and Contra Costa Junior College in Oakland, Calif.

She married Robert "Bob" Lincoln on Aug. 1, 1981, in Virginia City. Before moving to Gardnerville, Mrs. Lincoln lived in South Lake Tahoe where she worked in medical office management and billing. She was a past president of Nevada Medical Assistants.

Mrs. Lincoln was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 28, 2004, in Gardnerville and brother Jack Peabody on Dec. 12, 2002, in Bremerton, Wash.

Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Cari and Rocky Hale of Gardnerville; son Perry Potter of Hayfork, Calif.; stepson Steven "Guy" Lincoln of Gardnerville; stepdaughter Michelle Lincoln of San Francisco. Calif.; brother Jere Peabody of El Dorado, Calif.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cremation to take place at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville is in charge of arrangements.
