This is a final reminder that the Carson City Sheriff's Mounted Unit is currently holding its annual special raffle for "A Hunting Trip of A Lifetime."

There are 1,000 raffle tickets at $50 each. Three winning tickets will be drawn. Each of the winners will win an all-expense-paid, fully-guided, nine-day hunting trip in Montana in 2007.

In addition, the three winners will each be able to take along a companion, who will have that same all-expense-paid, fully-guided, nine-day hunting trip.

The six hunters will have a combination elk and deer hunt on horseback in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area of Montana.

Each of the six will receive $3,650 for the hunt, $1,000 for guaranteed hunting license and necessary tags, $500 for travel expenses and $400 for pocket money for a grand total of $5,550 per person.

The three hunts are scheduled for fall 2007 with the White Tail Ranch (WTR) Outfitters LLC of Ovando, Montana.

Their Montana, Non-Resident combination license will allow them to hunt Elk, Mule or White-Tailed deer, plus Blue, Franklin and Ruffed Grouse and to fish in the river and nearby streams. They can also hunt Black Bear with an additional Special Permit.

Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Carson City Sheriff's Mounted Unit.

The three winning tickets are to be drawn on Tuesday, February 6, sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on the radio. The station is 94.5 FM in Reno, and 94.1 FM in Carson City.

For raffle tickets or information, call Chief Vince Pirozzi at the Carson City Fire Department at 887-2210, ext. 1006.
