Maxine C. and Bob Butler, 42 year residents of Carson City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married June 28, 1957, in Sunland, Calif.
Mr. Butler was the executive director of the Nevada Beef Council. Mrs. Butler is a homemaker.
A celebration at The Foxes Inn at Sutter Creek, Calif. was hosted by their three children; Jim of Reno, Juli Hurin of Greensboro, N.C., and Jamie Wilson of Sparks. They have five grandchildren.
The couple was surprised with an antique golden tree in which all of their wedding party, friends, and family made an ornament that was reflective of their special relationship with the Butlers.
