A fight Wednesday on the Carson Colony resulted in one man being taken to the hospital by helicopter, an official said.

Washoe Tribal Police Chief Richard Varner said witnesses reported seeing two men fighting on Oneida Street around noon.

One of the men, whose name was withheld, was left bleeding in the middle of Oneida Street two blocks west of Curry Street in southwest Carson City.

Varner said the victim is believed to be about 25 years old.

No arrests have been made, though Varner anticipated charges would be filed at some point against the assailant.

He said the investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to call Washoe Tribal Police at 265-7540 and leave a message.
