Mildred 'Ro' Marcia DiLonardo

A memorial celebration for Mildred "Ro" Marcia DiLonardo, 79, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Carson City, with pastors Ken Haskins and Allen Dorway officiating.

Mrs. DiLonardo died June, 1, 2007, in Carson City. She was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Scotch Plains, N.J., to Herbert and Bessie (Herter) Mattox.

She married Joseph DiLonardo on July 3, 1948, in Dunellen, N.J.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Dunellen.

She attended Scotch Plains High School, where she was a cheerleader and met her future husband who played basketball at nearby Dunellen.

Mrs. DiLonardo enjoyed skiing and snowmobiling, as well as the ocean.

She was a Girl Scout leader and a deacon for the First Presbyterian Church in Dunellen and Carson City.

She was preceded in death by her four siblings; son Dean Joseph and daughter Pamela Jo DiLonardo.

Among her survivors are her husband of 58 years; daughter Kimberly Trenkle; grandsons Rayfield DiLonardo, Tristan and Timothy Trenkle and granddaughters Kimberlina, Summer and Savannah Trenkle.
