The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Melissa Shoemaker-Smith, 42, was arrested at 8:41 p.m. at a casino in the 3800 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of felony fraud and misdemeanor trespassing. Bail was set at $2,500.

• A 20-year-old unemployed woman from Carson City was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Como Street on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.

• A 39-year-old satellite installer from Carson City was arrested at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday on Nye Lane on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Graffiti reports on Fairview Drive, Lepire Drive and Hot Springs Road.

• Fraud report in the 600 block of East William Street at 5:17 p.m.

• A report of an unknown person starting a fire in the shoe department of Wal-Mart at 4:36 p.m.

• Residential burglary report on Sonoma Street at 5:04 p.m.

• Battery report on Hot Springs Road at 7:44 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Larceny report on Mountain Rose Drive in Fernley at 7:16 a.m.

• Vehicle burglary report on Ray Court in Fernley at 7:43 a.m.

• Commercial burglary report on Cottonwood Lane in Fernley at 10:26 a.m.

• Vehicle burglary report on Wedge Lane in Fernley at 6:15 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

• Accident on Interstate 80 at 7:45 a.m.

• Embezzlement report on Ave Bleu De La Clair at 10:13 a.m.

• Traffic citation on Five Mile Flats at 5:18 p.m.

• A 12-year-old walked into the fire department on Canyon Way with a water snake bite at 6:39 p.m.

• Two pit bulls attacked a cat on Adobe Road at 6:41 p.m.
