Wayne Robert Westfall, 59, died June 16, 2007, at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno after a lingering illness. He was born March 19, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pa.
After graduation from high school, he spent several years in the VISTA Program stationed in Schurz. He left VISTA to attend the University of Nevada, Reno.
After graduating from UNR, he went to work for the Nevada Department of Transportation as a property appraiser/eminent domain expert. He retired in 2002 and traveled extensively.
Among his survivors are life-long friends Lary and Elizabeth Summerville of Yerington and sister Joyce Anderson of Jamestown, Ind.
At his request, no service will be held.
Inurnment will be at the Valley View Cemetery in Yerington.
