A funeral Mass for Thelma Ruth Spracklin, 89, a longtime Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community Church in the day chapel.

Ms. Spracklin died March 6, 2007, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 3, 1917, in Eureka to Fred and Grace Breen Spracklin.

Prior to living in Carson City, she resided in Reno. Ms. Spracklin had worked for Bell Telephone in San Francisco and Nevada. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Buster Spracklin, and sister, Wanda Olds.

Among her survivors are her daughter Meris Nebeker of Carson City; grandsons Sean Nebeker of Carson City and Miles Nebeker of Las Vegas; granddaughter Paige Nebeker of Truckee, Calif.; great-granddaughter Bryn Nebeker of Reno; sisters Geri Tam of Los Angeles, Peggy Ebaugh of Paulsbo, Wash.; and brother Kenneth "Mac" Breen of Seattle.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery after the Mass.
