JVS DROP TWO
Carson dropped its last two games in the Nicole Snyder Memorial Tournament at Douglas, losing to Douglas 7-5 and to Galena 7-3.
The game against Douglas could have very well ended up in a 5-5 tie if not for two controversial calls. Tami Conn had two hits and two runs, Marcela Watson had two hits and a run and Tiffany O'Day had a double, two runs and an RBI for Carson.
Jessie Sinclair struck out three in a losing effort. Catcher Megan Hein and Brittany Duncan also played well defensively for Carson.
Against Galena, Carson trailed 4-3 when Galena scored three runs in the fourth for the final margin. Sinclair struck out five in a losing effort. Conn tripled and scored a run and Lisa Shores hit a two-run double.
