Pearl Irene Spensieri, 98, a 30-year Carson City resident, died March 9, 2007, in Carson City.

Mrs. Spensieri was born Sept. 17, 1908, in Emetsburg, Iowa, to Alexander Ashley and Effie Henrietta Warren.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Spensieri lived at South Lake Tahoe.

She was a waitress, and a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the Neighbors of Woodcraft and the Culinary Union of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicolas Spensieri, in 1992; two sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by friends Joyce Berglund, Angelina Clark and Delores Hanner, all of Carson City, and numerous nieces and nephews in Iowa.

Cremation will take place at FitzHenry's Crematory. At Mrs. Spensieri's request, no services will be held.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
