A memorial service for Nancy Cousins, 77, a Gardnerville resident since 2004, will be July 7, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Howell, Mich., Rev. Beverly Marr officiating.
Mrs. Cousins died Dec. 27, 2006, at her home. She was born Dec. 22, 1929, in Cleveland, to John Wesley Cannell and Mary Josephine Bentley.
She graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1947.
She attended nursing school in Lansing, Mich., and graduated in 1951.
She worked in the obstetrics delivery department of St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital of Pontiac, Mich., from 1968-1990.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Mrs. Cousins lived in Encinitas, Calif., with her sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Cousins.
Among her survivors are her children, Vicki Lynne Cousins of Oklahoma City, Valeri Kim Cousins-Shaffer of Howell, Mich., and Vance Elliott Cousins of Littleton, Colo.; two grandchildren and sister Jacqueline Bentley Cannell-Spiegler of Gardnerville.
