Sanchez qualifies for 100 finals at Stanford

Carson High's Kayla Sanchez was able to qualify for today's 100-meter girls finals on Friday at the high-powered Stanford Invitational.

Sanchez finished in 12.29 seconds in the preliminaries to take the ninth and final spot into the finals. Also for Carson, Andrea Keirstead finished 16th in the 100 in 12.59.

Keirstead took 22nd in the 100 hurdles in 16.07 as well. In addition, Sanchez competed in the 100 hurdles, but struggled, finishing in 18.44, much slower than what she's capable of doing.
