Comstock Typeslingers and Sagebrush Journalists exhibit, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, Historic Fourth Ward School, 537 S. C St. The long tradition of newspaper publishing on the Comstock is marked by the early typeslingers who later became noted journalists such as Mark Twain, Dan DeQuille, Alf Doten, Wells Drury, Joe Goodman, Denis McCarthy, Fred Hart, Alf Chartz, Arthur McEwen, Lyin' Jim Townsend and Sam Davis. Celebrating the acquisition, by Lyon County in partnership with the Historical Society of Dayton Valley, of the Carson & Colorado Railroad Station in historic Old Town Dayton.
