(Staff) - The Nevada Rural Counties Retired and Senior Volunteer Program has moved its offices to 3303 Butti Way, Building 1, in the Carson City Corporate Yard.

The office is open for public service today.

The new offices will enable RSVP to expand its many programs, which provide volunteer opportunities for seniors and others to serve their community, and also to help low-income, homebound seniors remain independent and in their own homes.

RSVP desperately needs new volunteers who can give an hour or many hours a month, especially drivers for specialized senior transportation (door-to-door) in Carson City and medical appointment trips to Reno.

RSVP furnishes its own vans and liability insurance for drivers. RSVP is negotiating with JAC (Carson City public transportation).

"RSVP is indebted to the Hone Co. (Kathy, Doug and Vicki) who came to our rescue with offices in their City Center Shopping Center when we were forced to leave our former offices and lacked the funds for new offices," said Janice Ayres, RSVP director. "They have been wonderful landlords and very generous ones.
