A graveside service for Roy William Franklin, 64, a Carson City resident, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Desert Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Silver Springs. Viewing will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
Mr. Franklin died May 23, 2007. He was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Roy Ellsworth and Ella Patricia Franklin.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing, gold panning, spending time in the outdoors and music, especially big bands and old country.
Among his survivors are his twin sons Richard and Roy; sister Diane Stafford; stepbrothers Bill, Jerry and Steve Walton; stepsister Karen King; nephew and wife Wendell and Shery Stafford of Silver Springs and many extended-family members.
Autumn Funerals & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
