James "Lefty" Bowers

James "Lefty" Bowers passed away Oct. 30, 2007, he was 69 years old. Lefty was born Oct. 14, 1938 in Connellsville, PA. to Lester and Wilma Bowers. Lefty has been a resident of Carson City for the past 14 years, moving here from Bremerton, WA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy for 10 years.

Lefty leaves behind a loving wife, Madelyn J. Bowers of Carson City, they were married June 1, 1958 in Windham, Ohio. He is also survived by a son, James G. Bowers Jr. and his wife, Lorraine of Tucson, Az. and two daughters, Deborah Bowers and Jody Davis and her husband, Brian all of Carson City, NV., one brother, David Bowers and his wife, Kathy of Colorado, and three sisters, Irma Goss and her husband, Jim of Illinois, Nancy Miller and her husband, Bill of California and Janet Davis of Colorado. Also nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamara Renee Schmerber , and a brother, Lester Bowers and a sister, Leona Lee.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with his final arrangements.
