The Nevada Department of Transportation will close part of FiFth Street beginning Friday for sewer line excavation and paving.
Fifth Street, State Route 513, will be closed between Saliman Road and Butti Way in Carson City from 7 p.m. Friday through 7 p.m. Sunday.
Traffic wishing to travel between Saliman Road and North Edmonds Drive can detour through Highway 50 to North Edmonds Drive, or can travel south on Saliman Road to reach North Edmonds Drive. Butti Way traffic can exit the area through North Edmonds Drive.
Access for local businesses will be available.
