Brian Wilk has joined the Nevada Commission on Economic Development as a Procurement Associate, helping small businesses land government contracts.

Wilk was formerly a Project Analyst for the Sierra Nevada Corporation.

A Millennium Scholar, Wilk has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, with a major in economics from the University of Nevada, Reno

Working in the Procurement Outreach Division, Wilk will find Nevada businesses with the potential to provide goods and services to federal, state and local government agencies. He will then help those businesses navigate complex government purchasing requirements so they can be awarded contracts.

Wilk also will identify current federal, state and local government needs in order to find businesses to fill those needs.

As a procurement associate, Wilk will be conducting seminars, workshops, marketing fairs and conferences to let small businesses know about government contracts.

NCED's Procurement Outreach Division helped Nevada small businesses land 2,243 government contracts valued at more than $1 billion during the past three years.

The Nevada Commission on Economic Development is the state agency providing services, support and assistance to communities. NCED helps Nevada cities and counties diversify and develop their economies so they remain viable.
