A high wind warning has been issued by the Nevada Department of Transportation for Washoe Valley. Campers and trailers are prohibited from East Lake Boulevard to Winters Ranch.
Alternate routes of travel are East Lake Boulevard on the east side of Highway 395 and Franktown Road on the west.
Today's weather begins clear turning partly cloudy in the afternoon with a chance of isolated showers and highs from 51-61 with southwest winds 20-30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
Tonight will be clear with lows from 18-28 and northeast winds around 10 mph after midnight.
