Canned food and coat drive

A canned food and coat drive will be held at the Greater Nevada Credit Union 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. This is a community event sponsored by Central Lyon Youth Connections, and Healthy Communities Coalition. Contact 246-0320.

Silver Springs

4H club to meet

The Silver Springs 4-H Community Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Silver Springs Elementary School lunchroom.

Groups offered are Cavies, Skiing/Snowboarding, Photography, Embroidery/Cross Stitch, Rocketry/Astronomy, Dog Care and Training and Community Club.

Any adults willing to teach a group are welcome.

Family Bingo Night today

Silver Stage High School's annual Family Bingo Night is set for 6 p.m. today in the school's multi-purpose room.

Cards are $3 each for adults or four for $10. For seniors, are three cards for $5; and for students pay $1 each card.

Each Bingo card can be used for all eight games. There will be a raffle and tickets are $1 each or six for $5.

Democrats to meet Saturday

The Lyon County Democratic Central Committee will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stagecoach Community Center on Highway 50.

Representatives from the Nevada Democratic Party and various Democratic campaigns will be on hand to update attendees about the Democratic Presidential Caucus planned for January. Final planning and outreach for the caucus will be discussed.
