Seeing God's beauty

Paul writes in Romans 1:20, "Since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse."

While driving through the Sierra Nevada this past week, this verse was made clear to me. With the change of seasons you can't help but see God in His creation. From the formation of the snow-capped mountains, to the trickling streams and the vibrant gold and yellow colors of the falling leaves, it is obvious that there must be a creator.

It's amazing to me to see how God cares for all of His creation, giving it life and all it needs to sustain it. Even as I drove past some of the recent fire-burned areas I knew that this is a way that God renews and gives new life to the area.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:30, "If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, o you of little faith?"

We have an awesome God who cares for us and loves us so much that He gave His one and only son so we may have life.

As Paul writes, "Men are without excuse." Creation testifies that there is a creator. It would be impossible to believe that all that we see around us came from nothing, or just happened by chance.

"For by Him all things were created: Things in heaven and on earth, all things were created by Him and for Him." Colossians 1:16.

Creation offers many proofs that there is a God, yet many people still come up with excuses not to believe in Him. In the end none of them will do.
