NHP investigates tram wreck during Dayton Valley Days

The Nevada Highway Patrol is looking at the tractor that pulled a tram as

part of a "train ride" during Dayton Valley Days on Sunday.

Coming down the hill on Cemetery Road, the driver lost control of the

tractor that was pulling two tram cars, said Sgt. J.L. Pattison of the Lyon

County Sheriff's Office. The second tram car overturned onto riders and

disengaged from the car in front of it.

He said the NHP has a specialist trained to look at vehicles to see if there

are any mechanical defects.

Four people were taken to the hospital; two by Care Flight.
