A $500 reward is being offered to anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash that severely injured a bicyclist in July in the Carson community of the Washoe Tribe.

Captain Richard Varner, of the Washoe Tribal Police Department, said the tribe is offering the reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the crime.

Varner said Alyn "Sonny" Frank was hit while riding his bike on Paiute Street on July 17.

The crash is being investigated by the Bureau of Indian Affairs Investigator Molly Hernandez in conjunction with the Washoe Tribal Police.

Anyone with information can call Hernandez at (775) 887-0616 or the Washoe Tribal Police at (775) 265-7540 from 8 am. to 5 p.m. or dispatch at 782-9087 after hours.

Any person with information can remain anonymous, Varner said.
