Buck mule deer seasons open in many management hunt areas

The 2007, "any legal weapon," buck mule deer hunting season will open on Friday, Oct. 5 for many of the big game management areas in the State of Nevada.

Most of those areas will close on Oct. 20.

Big game management areas in the western portion of the state will not open until November and December. Those late-opening, western areas include management area Nos. 192 and 194-196 (Dec. 21 - Jan. 1) and 195 and 291 (Nov. 5 - Nov. 30), which surround Carson City.

Only hunters with deer hunting tags received through the computerized drawing process, earlier this year, are permitted to hunt.
