Bernice L. Gearhart, 88, passed away March 26, 2008 in Gardnerville. She lived in Minden for the past 10 years. She was born July 6, 1919, in Chicago, Ill. to Richard and Anna Mooney. Before moving to Minden, she lived in Elm Grove, Wis. She married Clyde "O.C." Gearhart in 1941. Bernice worked as a business manager for many years. She enjoyed plants, animals, travel and the outdoors.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Clyde "O.C." Gearhart, March 14, 1994 in Elm Grove, Wis., and son James Gearhart May 18, 1998 in Milwaukee, Wis.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Dan and Judith Gearhart, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
