'Community Deaf Pride Day' at WNC


Western Nevada College hosts "Community Deaf Pride Day," 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Joe DIni Student Center, 2201 W. College Parkway.


Admission is free, refreshments will be provided. Free activities will include 4-H petting animals, hands-on crafts by Lowe's Home Improvement stores, cookie decorating, face painting, jump houses, games, and a raffle. Natives, new comers rummage sale

Teen game day at county library


The Dragon Slayers, the Douglas County Public Library Teen Advisory Board, and Friends of the Douglas County Library, host Teen Game Day 3 p.m., today, Douglas County Public Library, 1625 Library Lane, Minden. SIgn-up for AARP driver safety course


Dayton Senior Center will sponsor AARP driver safety program April 26. The objectives of this program are to help drivers understand the effects of aging on driving, reduce the chance of having a crash, and identify when driving may no longer be safe.
