A benefit dinner for the family of Army Sgt. Timothy Smith will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today at The Brothers Bar and Grill at 888 Emerald Bay Road in South Lake Tahoe.
A spaghetti dinner with salad and bread will be available for $8. A raffle will also be held with proceeds to benefit the family.
Anyone interested in donating money or a raffle prize is asked to call The Brothers at (530) 541-7017.
Army Sgt. Smith died on April 7 from a roadside bomb in Iraq. He was 25.
