Two Carson City men were injured today trying to retrieve the truck of a friend who got it stuck in the mountains between Goni Road and Storey County.

Carson City rescuers were called out to McLellan Peak at 11:18 a.m. after one of the occupants of the Ford F250 reported they'd been in an accident.

As Carson City resources made their way up Goni Road, Storey County rescuers entered from the east and discovered the vehicle was actually within their county lines.

The truck was located 1,800 feet below the radio towers.

Both Charles Jennings, 47, via ambulance, and Donald Ford, age unknown, via helicopter, were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, said Storey County Sheriff's Sgt. Ken Quirk.

Quirk said the truck rolled several times.
