Weather for the Carson City area will be sunny with highs 59-69 with light winds becoming southwest 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday, partly cloudy in the morning then becoming sunny with highs 47-57 with west winds 10-15 mph shifting to the north in the afternoon.
Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays. Fairview Drive, westbound, is now open from Saliman Road to Roop Street. However, there is continued work on Fairview Drive from South Edmonds to South Carson Street with lane closures and possible delays.
Lane closures are in effect on the west end of Fairview Drive.
Road work continues on Highway 50 and includes possible delays.
Work continues also on East Fifth Street from Fairview Drive to Saliman Road.
Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted lower speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:02 a.m. all roads in the area open with no controls.
